Golfing in France
There's never been a better time to have a golf holiday or golf break in France.
France has more golf courses than any country in continental Europe - several hundred having been built in the last few years - and is the ideal destination for a golfing holiday any time of year.
The courses of Pas de Calais and Normandy can be easily reached by either ferry or low cost airlines. There are a number of excellent courses around Paris, and you can even add a few nights stay in the city of romance on to your trip
The region of Pau, nestling at the foot of the Pyrenees has the very first golf course in continental Europe, and golf has been played here longer than any other French or European city… The Pau Golf Club, bounded by the river “Gave” of Pau, is located near the national park of the “Château d’Henry IV” and welcomes you on its 18 holes, 69 par course all year round.
